OF THE THIRD AGE ( U3A )

Looking for some new interests this Winter?

Look at what we have to offer and at very low

cost. We cater mainly for retired people over

50 living in the Cheddar Valley area or

nearby. Cheddar Valley U3A was formed

some 12 years ago to encourage individuals

to form groups to pursue their common inter-

est.

We have over 20 groups meeting regularly

including: Bowls, Boule, Table Tennis, Walk-

ing, Computing, French, Photography, Bridge,

Poetry, Local History, Cardmaking, Embroi-

dery. Eating, drinking and “getting together”

are very well supported at regular social eve-

nings and we also have a singles group.

Coffee mornings take place every 3rd Tues-

day of the month at the Bath Arms, Cheddar,

and there is also a monthly meeting with a

speaker at the Leisure Centre.
