CHEDDAR TENNIS CLUB

Now's the time to think about learning to play

tennis or, for the more experienced, polishing

up your skills.

Cheddar Tennis Club offers a

range of coaching courses for all ages and

abilities run by Lawn Tennis Association,

LTA, qualified coaches.

Coaching for junior members is offered

throughout the year during term time, after

school on Fridays. For boys and girls: 4.15 to

5.15pm - mini tennis red (five year olds+

beginners); 5.15 to 6.15pm - mini tennis or-

ange, 6.15 to 7.15pm - mini tennis green.

Also on Saturday mornings: 9.30 to 10.15am

- Tasmanian reds (four to six year olds);

10.15-11.15am - mini tennis orange (girls

only), with full court tennis from 11.15am -

12.15pm.

Mixed ability coaching for adults, both mem-

bers and non-members of the club, is avail-

able throughout the year subject to demand

and usually takes place on Wednesday eve-

nings.

All coaching involves fun as well as learning

the skills of the game. For youngsters in

particular there is great emphasis in improv-

ing general agility, hand-eye co-ordination

and movement, with fun games and drills.

There are regular club sessions and the op-

portunity for league match play for adults.
