LIFELINES
Please help The Mendip
Hills Area of Outstanding
Natural beauty to survey all
the dry stone walls in the
area!
The Lifelines project aims to survey all the
walls to record their state of repair, so that
rebuilding programs in the future will have a
good idea of which walls would benefit most
from being restored.
The survey is only one piece of A4 paper with
10 questions for each wall. Survey areas are
500m square. The best time of year to carry
out surveys is during the winter months when
the walls are free from vegetation. Please
look at the Lifelines website or call the com-
munity link officer Merryn for further informa-
tion on .
