for a fun run? Come along to the Kings of

Wessex Leisure Centre in Cheddar on Tues-

days and Thursdays at 6.45 for 7 p.m. We are

very much a group who just wish to keep fit.

ISLE OF WEDMORE BOWLS CLUB

With the summer season on the green having

drawn to a close, play on our two superb in-

door rinks now starts in earnest. We have a

full programme of leagues on most days of

the week, but with plenty of scope for compe-

titions, casual play, coaching and ‘taster’ ses-

sions, as well as matches at weekends with

other clubs. There will also be ‘Umbrella’ ses-

sions on Saturday evenings, which can be

entered at fairly short notice. This will be the

third indoor season in the new clubhouse

providing us with excellent facilities, which

now include two wheelchairs for disabled

bowlers. With a team of nine qualified

coaches available, tuition and advice can be

provided. This thriving and sociable club con-

tinues to welcome applications for member-

ship from all ages, whether experienced

bowlers or novices. The indoor subscription is
